Generating
intelligence can require the creation of data in near
real-time. For example, forest fire bosses need to
know where the fire is located in rugged terrain in
order to deploy their aerial tankers and ground teams.
All of this information is changing minute-by-minute and
frequently is difficult to gather because of smoke
obscuration.
Terra-Vista can customize aircraft and RPV based systems
which will gather raw imagery and create digital imagery
from a variety of sensors- for example, a thermal
imaging device that can accurately define the boundaries
of a forest fire. The raw data generated by these sensors
is then converted into a digital photomap that can be
combined with variety of other data such as road
networks, location of known hazards, and real time
meteorology overlays.

The
photomaps can then be used by decision makers in the
field and/or at a centralized command-and-control
facility. Ultimately, the raw data becomes
information that becomes intelligence when interpreted
by knowledgeable interpreters. In this enhanced
and simplified form, the intelligence can then be
distributed to field personnel accompanied by an action
plan.
